User Roles within the Firm
Attorney Share supports two user roles designed to align with your firm’s structure and case-sharing workflow:
Attorneys
Attorneys hold an active bar license and maintain a public-facing profile in the Member Directory. From there, they can connect with other attorneys, refer cases through the Marketplace and Waterfall Referrals™, or receive new cases from those same channels plus Direct Invites.
Case Managers
Case Managers do not hold an active bar license and aren’t listed in the Member Directory. They can, however, manage case activity on behalf of any attorney in the firm. This includes creating cases and proposals, viewing all proposals and invites, and taking actions directly from the My Cases tab. When collaborating with others, Case Managers appear as “Case Manager on behalf of [Attorney Name].”
Case Managers also have access to the Firm Settings tab, where they can update firm preferences, and settings as needed.
For step-by-step instructions on how to add a new firm member, see this guide and video demo.
