Marketplace Visibility
Attorney Share allows you to choose whether you’d like to list your case publicly (to the Attorney Share Marketplace) or privately (to select attorneys) through our Waterfall Referrals™ or My Private Network system.
- Public Marketplace: Designating your case as “Public” allows it to be published on the Attorney Share marketplace where it becomes available for any attorney to inquire about and/or claim.
- Community Marketplace: Post to selected communities for priority access before the case is posted publicly on the Marketplace. Please note that any user can post a case to Exclusive communities, but ONLY user in these communities can take the case.
- My Private Network: Rather than manually managing distribution of cases between your different Waterfalls, simply add all of your trusted partners to one network. Then, send case to your My Private Network, and Attorney Share will handling evenly distributing cases between your trusted partners in their respective practice areas and jurisdictions. If no one in your My Private Network wants the case, it will move to the Marketplace.
- Waterfall Referrals™: Designating your referral as “Waterfall Referrals™” allows you to assign a case to one of your firm's unique Waterfall networks with up to 3 assigned attorneys. Attorney Share will handle letting members of that Waterfall know that they've been invited to your case. If Person A rejects the case, it moves to Person B. If person B rejects, it moves to Person C. If Person C rejects, the case moves to the Public Marketplace. Waterfalls allow you to offer right of first refusal to your existing referral partners, all with the safety net of the Public Marketplace below that.
Fees & Pricing
When you send out a case, you are able to collect a portion of the fees. The default for the Attorney Share platform is 25% but you can adjust higher or lower depending on the case. Prospect attorneys also have the ability to negotiate this percentage.
Remember that you are solely responsible for adhering to all applicable professional obligations imposed by the professional rules and standards applicable in the jurisdiction(s) in which you are licensed in connection with your use of the marketplace.
Data Room
If there is any useful documentation to provide to prospective attorneys, you can upload them during the creation of a new case. Prospective attorneys can request access prior to being selected.
